With ESF we collect sensor events and integrate them into a linearly scalable publish/subscribe Websphere environment. ESF is an inclusive software framework that puts a layer between the OS and the OEM application, with industry-standard interfaces that shorten OEM development time, simplify coding, and allow software to be ported from one Eurotech hardware platform to another. A enterprise connect bundle that connects directly to Websphere is part of the ESF offer.
Our development environment is Eclipse, with an Equinox realization of the OSGi specification. You can develop for ESF, Websphere and other IBM applications on the same IDE. Our JVM is J9, licensed from IBM.
This collection of cohesive software components lets OEMs modify, reconfigure and maintain their application over time, so it evolves as the market demands change. - Core functionality is provided by the ESF Foundation Bundles which offer hardware virtualization, device configuration, a system logger, platform management (such as speed modes, watchdogs, CPU temperature, etc), and easy management and integration with all the network devices supported by the platform (Bluetooth, Cellular, WiFi, etc)
