Single Board Computer COM-1289
The COM-1289 combines wireless Tri-band GSM/GPRS connectivity with a low power 12-channel GPS receiver within an embedded RoHS compliant PC/104 module. This low power highly integrated telematics board is the ideal choice for a wide spectrum of mobile computing applications requiring worldwide GPRS roaming and precise GPS positioning. A standard SIM-card is installed onboard using a locking cardholder. Optionally an external SIM card interface can be connected to the module.
Onboard features include two 16C550 compatible UART ports. The board can be configured using software then storing the settings in an EEPROM. This advanced method does not need banks of interrupts and address jumpers; reconfiguring the COM-1289 is easy even when it is installed within a system.
