Eurotech Wins $7.5M contract in the United States with King County Metro
Eurotech is proud to announce a contract with King County Metro Transit to deliver the DuraMAR Mobile Access Router to more than 1000 buses in the greater-Seattle area. The 18-month contract is valued at 7.5 Million USD. With this deployment, King County enables wireless communication with diverse on-board systems, such as vehicle diagnostics, GPS, and fare collection, through a single router installed on each bus.

This Cisco-based router will be used for a number of diverse functions, from the transfer of electronic fare payments to improving transit security through the use of on-board digital video cameras.

Eurotech announces the Catalyst LP, based on the latest Intel® Atom™ processor D510 with dual core capability and seven-year extended lifecycle support from Intel. The Catalyst LP is ideal for embedded applications requiring high-speed graphics and computational power with the ability to run multiple processes and operating systems concurrently. With power consumption under 15W when running dual-core functionality, the Catalyst LP and other products based on the new processor are perfectly suited for markets which use sophisticated, high definition graphics, human-to-machine or machine-to-machine interfacing, and require long-term support from embedded vendors, such as those found in the medical, industrial, or security markets.

Availability
The Catalyst LP will be available in the second quarter of 2010.
