Eurotech Wins 1M USD Order From Project Automation for Transport Application in Italy
Amaro (Italy), April 7, 2010 Eurotech S.p.A., the historical Italian unit of the Eurotech Group, announced today that it has won a USD 1-million order from Project Automation, a leading company in Italy in telemetering, monitoring and control solutions applied to the transport market and to the public utility, environmental, mobility, and civil automation system markets.
Eurotech will supply the client with Panel PCs incorporating the ultra low-power Catalyst module, based on Intel Atom processors. The Catalyst model thus confirms its versatility of use, both as a standalone embedded component and as the computing engine of systems and devices for the most varied kinds of applications. The Eurotech Panel PCs to be supplied will be installed by Project Automation on the trams of ATM Milano (the municipal public transport company active in the Milan area) and will be used for operation of onboard switch-point control.
