Native mode development, in ANSI C, C++ or assembler is the preferred path for some application development. We support compliers and tool chains from the CPU suppliers and from Microsoft.
Native mode development is preferred for demanding real time applications, memory constrained systems, and for many packaged and legacy applications that need to be moved to an embedded platform. Native mode development can be supported with the the compiler, or within the full Visual Studio environment. For the most demanding applications, we also support various specialized compilers, for greater security or better use of particular CPU features.
